Ways to Encourage

What do all these pictures have to do with encouraging others?  These are just a few of the small things our team will be taking to encourage and bless those we are going to serve in Malta.  You see these pictures represent some of the things that make them smile.  These are things they can't get where they live or can't get often.............

We have to take small things - so we can get enough of the things to encourage the approximately 80 family units who will be at this conference. Luggage space is limited.  I sure miss the days when airlines allowed you two FREE pieces of luggage and not just one. Due to space and money we have to be creative in what we can take on trips.

One of the things we need is families to write a note to let this family unit know you have lifted them up to the Father and have prayed this conference has been refreshing and encouraging for them.  That is why I have listed the picture of the note card that says "You are My Hero".  In my mind they are the Heroes of the Faith.  You see they have answered the call to serve Him in a place that is unfamiliar, many miles away from their family, and sacrificing personal preferences and comforts in housing, food, holidays, church - well in every aspect of their life.

Have a heart for missions?  Do you have children and want your children to have a heart for others?  I encourage you to sit down and write a note (I can provide you with the missionary family's names and country of service).  I encourage you to by a packet, a bag of candy, a travel sized game or toy AND if you have kiddos (no matter what their age is) let them be a part of the process of writing, purchasing, bringing to church to give BUT most of all teach them to PRAY for those who serve all around the world so that all may know of His incredible love for them!

Much Love!
Mrs. Tara

P.S. one request that is a little different is for the cheese packets that come in macaroni and cheese (like Kraft).  Many can get pasta but no cheese.  If you are willing to donate your cheese packets (and use the real stuff for your macaroni) we need those too!
